Every year as part of integreting cultural knowledge in my class practice we have the opportunity to travel abroad. A trip with our classmates is an extension of our curriculum. In our trips we will see all that was taught in class, and the students will get to use the Spanish language in real situations. You cannot learn Spanish by just memorizing vocabulary. In order to really learn the language you must have an understanding of the culture, cuisine, history, the people and their lifestyle. The difference between other cultures and ours is not just a difference in language and this cannot be found in books. By taking a trip I will expand my student’s knowledge, and hope to spark a curiosity for future learning and travel. This will make my students feel a sense of accomplishment because they will be able to use what they have learned in real life situations.
In the past we had the opportunity to travel to:
* MEXICO *
* SPAIN *
* COSTA RICA *
* PUERTO RICO *
